The gap has always been Japanese. You can eat halal within a few minutes of Sample Road at a dozen counters, and almost none of them are running a hibachi grill. The three things that decide it
Hibachi describes a cooking surface. It tells you nothing about what was cooked on it or what was poured over it. Three decisions made in the back of the house determine whether a hibachi plate is halal, and most restaurants fail at least one.
The meat. Chicken, beef and lamb have to come from a halal supplier and be slaughtered to halal standard. This costs more per pound, which is why most hibachi restaurants do not bother.
The grill. Hibachi runs on one shared flat top. A restaurant with pork on the menu has cooked pork on the same steel, and no amount of cleaning between orders settles that for a diner who takes halal seriously.
The sauces. Mirin and cooking sake are standard in commercial teriyaki and eel sauce. Halal meat finished with a mirin-based glaze is not a halal plate, and most kitchens buying sauce from a distributor cannot tell you what is in the bottle.
Flame clears all three. Every location serves a 100% halal menu. There is no pork anywhere in the building, so there is nothing on the grill to avoid. Our sauces are made in house rather than bought in, which is what lets us answer ingredient questions directly instead of reading a label back to you.
At our Coral Springs location
We are at 6291 W Sample Rd, Coral Springs, FL 33067, on the western Sample Road run. Sample is one of the main east to west arteries through North Broward, which puts Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate, North Lauderdale and Tamarac all within a short drive, and the Sawgrass Expressway close for anyone coming from further west.
Hours are 11AM to midnight Monday through Saturday, and noon to midnight on Sunday.
The late close matters here more than it would elsewhere. Broward runs late, and halal options that are still cooking after 10PM are rare in this part of the county.
Fall in North Broward
Fall in South Florida is not a weather event. It is a schedule event. September brings school back, Friday night high school football back, and the tail end of hurricane season, and all three change how people eat.
Friday nights are the clearest shift. Games across Coral Springs, Parkland and Coconut Creek end somewhere between 9:30 and 10:30, and a team, a band or a set of families comes off the field wanting food from a kitchen that is still open. That is the specific window our midnight close is built for.
The second shift is quieter but larger. Storm weeks reorganize everything. When a system is being tracked, people stop planning meals and start solving the next one, and the practical question becomes what travels, what reheats, and what feeds six people from one order. Bento boxes and wing counts answer that better than individual plates do.

How the plates are built: every hibachi comes with any two sides from fried rice, white rice, lo mein noodles or vegetables. Extra chicken is $3.45 and extra salmon, beef or shrimp is $4.45, which is the cheapest way to stretch one plate across two people. Wings scale to 50 pieces at $67.99 and 100 pieces at $130.99.
