Halloween Night Dinner: Quick Halal Takeout Before Trick-or-Treating

Halloween is a Saturday this year. When to order, what to order for kids and adults, and how to feed a group of trick-or-treaters before the sun goes down.

Halloween night has a dinner problem. Costumes go on around five, the kids want to leave the second it gets dark, and nobody has cooked. The result is usually a handful of candy standing in for a meal and a crash at eight thirty. A real dinner does not need to take long. It just needs to be ordered at the right time.

Order at four thirty, eat at five fifteen

Halloween 2026 is a Saturday, so the dinner rush and the trick-or-treat rush land on the same evening. In most of the neighborhoods we serve, sunset is a little after six, and that is when the streets fill.

Work backward from there. Place the order around four thirty, pick up around five, and everyone eats before the costumes go on. Everything at Flame is cooked when the ticket lands, so ordering ahead is what keeps the wait short on a busy Saturday.

What to order for kids

Chicken Tenders start at $8.99 for three pieces and come as a combo with fries and a drink. They are the safe answer for picky eaters and fast to eat in a hurry.

Chicken Hibachi at $10.85 comes with your choice of two sides: fried rice, white rice, lo mein noodles or vegetables. Kids who like fried rice usually finish it.

A California Roll at $8.85 is the gateway sushi. Cooked crab, avocado and cucumber, nothing raw, easy to split between two kids.

What to order for the adults walking with them

Bento boxes are built for this night. The Chicken and Beef Bento at $14.85 is hibachi, vegetables, rice or noodles, a 4-piece California Roll, two dumplings and two spring rolls, in a box with a lid. It eats as well at a kitchen counter as it does on a porch step.

Flame combos pair two proteins on one plate, from $12.85 for Chicken and Beef or Chicken and Shrimp.

Feeding a group of trick-or-treaters

If your house is the meeting point for several families, skip plated meals and order trays people can graze from.

Group sizeWhat to orderApproximate cost
6 to 8 people30 wings, 2 California Rolls, 2 fried rice$40.99 + $17.70 + $10.90
10 to 15 people50 wings, 3 rolls, 2 bentos for the adults$67.99 + $26.55 + $29.70
20+ people100 wings plus fried rice and noodle sidesFrom $130.99

Split wings across two or three flavors. Honey BBQ and Teriyaki are the safe choices for kids. Keep anything hot in its own tray, clearly away from the little ones.

No label-checking at dinner

All of the meat we serve is 100% Halal at every location, and our sauces are made in our own kitchen. On a night when you will be reading candy wrappers later, dinner is one thing you do not have to check.

Open late on Halloween

Halloween is a Saturday, and every Flame Japanese Hibachi location keeps its Saturday hours. Every location is open until at least 10PM, which covers both the pre-trick-or-treat dinner and the hungry parents who get home at eight.
