Yes, and north Baltimore County is where that answer has been hardest to find. Halal dining in the Baltimore area concentrates in the city and along the Northern Parkway and Route 40 corridors. Push north up York Road through Towson, Timonium and Hunt Valley and the options thin out fast, which is why plenty of families in this part of the county have been driving south for a meal that should be fifteen minutes away. What actually makes hibachi halal
Hibachi names a grill, not a recipe. The word tells you how the food was cooked and nothing at all about what went into it. Three separate decisions determine whether the plate qualifies, and most hibachi kitchens fail at least one of them.
Sourcing. Chicken, beef and lamb have to come from a supplier who slaughters to halal standard. A restaurant either holds that paperwork or it does not, and this is the step that costs money.
The grill itself. Hibachi is cooked on a single shared flat top. A kitchen that also serves pork has run pork across that surface, and scraping between orders does not change that.
The sauces. Mirin and cooking sake are ordinary ingredients in commercial teriyaki and eel sauce. Halal meat finished with a mirin glaze is no longer a halal plate, and a kitchen that buys its sauces from a distributor generally cannot tell you either way.
Flame was set up so none of those apply. The full menu is halal. No pork comes through the door, which means the flat top has exactly one job. Sauces are made in our kitchen, not bought in.
At our Cockeysville location
We are at 10128 York Rd Ste A, Cockeysville, MD 21030, on the main York Road run between Timonium and Hunt Valley. This stretch is the spine of north Baltimore County, which puts us within a short drive of Hunt Valley, Timonium, Lutherville, Sparks and Phoenix, and about fifteen minutes up the road from Towson.
Hours are 11AM to midnight Monday through Saturday, and noon to midnight on Sunday.
Those hours are the point. Very little on this corridor is still cooking at 11PM, and almost nothing that is also halal. If you are coming off a late shift at one of the Hunt Valley office parks, out of a game, or off the Light RailLink at the end of the line, we are open.
Fall on York Road
The corridor gets busier in September. Towson University is back in session and its students spread up York Road further than people assume. High school football takes over Friday nights across the county. Ravens Sundays reorganize the entire weekend. Oregon Ridge and Loch Raven get their best weather of the year, which means Saturday afternoons end with people hungry and nobody wanting to cook.
What that does to orders is predictable. Group sizes climb, wing counts climb faster, and the late window fills up. Through the summer our last hour is quiet. From September it is one of the busiest of the night.
A practical note if you are ordering for a group this fall: wings scale further per dollar than individual plates. Thirty pieces at $40.99 feeds a room that four separate entrees would not.

Chicken and Beef Bento, $14.85. Hibachi, vegetables, rice or noodles, a 4-piece California Roll, dumplings and spring rolls. Closes and travels.
Dancing Shrimp Roll, $10.85. Halal sushi north of Towson, which is not a sentence this corridor could say before.
Matcha Milk Tea, $8.15. Ten toppings available. The late-night order that is not a soda.
How the plates are built: every hibachi comes with any two sides from fried rice, white rice, lo mein noodles or vegetables. Extra chicken is $3.45, extra salmon, beef or shrimp is $4.45. Individual sides run $3.45 to $5.45.
